Westinghouse 7026800 Lamp Kit, 250 V, 600 W, Metal, Brass, For Standard Base 150 W Bulb

About a year ago I came across an old lamp at a flea market and immediately purchased for about five dollars. It's a beautiful old porcelain lamp without a scratch or nick EXCEPT a cord that had been cut/damaged in three places and the entire works of it was rusty. I ordered this item and received it quicker than listed. It sealed in a regular store type package with plastic covering and card board type back with complete easy to read step by step directions. Now the old lamp looks like a very well taken care of antique with it's new shiny replacement. I am thrilled with it and now all I need is a nice lamp shade. What I want to relay to you is that you might need an additional part that does NOT come with this kit. Fortunately I had it because it was on the old lamp. It is a bolt type screw similar to the one that comes with it and it is the part that goes inside the lamp and on up out of the lamp top. That is the part you need in order to attach the rest of this kit. I don't know why they don't include it and if they haven't mentioned it in the description they should. They do state on the package directions that it is not included. They call it a 'nipple' but it is a short bolt type screw. If you are doing like I did, replacing the old lamp works you probably already have it in your lamp. It is easy to change out the old with this new kit.
