This twist and close mechanism, replacement coarse thread bath tub strainer, provides a positive closure to bath tubs using 1-1/2"NPSM (actual thread size is 1-7/8" - 11-1/2 UNC) coarse thread bottom elbows. Lift and turn the metal plunger to open the drain, then turn and drop the plunger to close it.
