Wenzel Jack Pine Green 4-Person Dome Tent, 7'x8'

It was a good size but could be a little roomier. barely fit my queen air mattress. It fits 4 people if you all sleep like sardines I'm sure. It was just me and my golden retriever on a queen mattress, I'm 5'6" and slept diagonally.

Out of the box, I really liked this tent. Super easy to set up, roomy, and a couple of nice extras like a hammock net to hold small items and a port to run a power cord through (I didnt test this out because I had no power needs in the tent, but I did keep an eye on whether or not bugs would access the tent- didnt see any inside!). This is a nice set up for a car camping tent for a family of four or a couple with dogs. On the down side, it was heavy (definitely not for backpacking), the bungies on the tent poles seemed a bit slack (maybe Im used to tighter bungies), and the rainfly only covers about half the tent (not a problem on beautiful camping days, but might be a problem in a windy rainstorm). I liked that the floor seemed to be constructed out of some pretty durable material, and it seemed a bit thicker than the walls. The built in doormat was an awesome added touch, big enough to put a couple pairs of shoes as well as have room to put your shoes on/off. I also liked that the directions for pitching the tent (as well as for taking down the tent) were sewn into the inside of the tent bag. Very handy! Finally, I am pretty partial to the fact that this is a green and tan colored tent. So many tents are neon colors. Its nice to have a tent that will blend into the greenscape.
