Wenzel 5-Person Dome Tent

I purchased this tent after several months of research. The tent was to be used primarily for scouting camp outs for me and my 9 year old son. Overall, I was completely satisfied with the purchase. The quality and price point can't be beat. Set up was simple. I set up by myself within 30 or so minutes. Instructions are included but it's rather self explanatory if you have experience with tents. I previously had a 2 person tent and needed something bigger. The Wenzel tent easily accommodates a queen size mattress with room to spare. I'm sure it could accommodate 5 people but it would be a tight fit. I think this is more reasonable for 2 or 3 people. While I couldn't stand straight up in the tent, there was still enough room to bend down and change clothes. I opted not to seal the tent at all. The first night it rained for about 7 hours straight. The tent stayed very dry for the most part. There was a small amount og condensation towards the bottom. However, all in all, I was very happy. No dripping or rain seeping through. This tent does have three walls with vents, so it is not suited for extremely cold temperatures. The door zipper was a little inconvenient in terms of easily utilizing it. Often times I would need two hands to get the zipper down or up. Not a major issue though. I did use a footprint under the tent. It may not be necessary but for the small price of a tarp, I recommend using one. Ultimately, for the size and price this tent is a steal. Wenzel is a quality name with quality products. If you are looking for a quality product with a mid range price point, I suggest purchasing this tent.
