Perfect "toy" for my parrots

I get paper straws from both Walmart and Dollar Tree to make toys, and to use in toys, for my parrots. Walmart sells 30 straws for a little over $2. DT sells 10 to 15 straws for $1.25, so the price is relatively the same for the amount you get. I cut the straws into 8 pieces; I clamp one end of the straws; I place a shelled sunflower seed or other small treats inside the straws; then I clamp the other end. These small treats give my parrots enrichment by making them "hunt" for their treats. They love foraging for their treats this way, and it's better than simply handing them the treats directly.

Good straws

They're good straws. Sometimes when we order food delivery, they forget to give us straws. This solves the problem.

Great for travel, especially when you're on the cruise and they only have candy straws
