Picked at the peak of freshness, these frozen peas are flash frozen to lock in the sweet and fresh flavor. These frozen vegetables contain nothing artificial to give you a side dish with only the best. Enjoy the frozen sweet peas as a side dish with your favorite meals or add them into casseroles. It's easy to prepare these peas; just microwave the frozen vegetable in the bag for 4 1/2 minutes or cook them on the stove for 10 to 14 minutes. Store each bag in the freezer until you're ready to cook it. It’s good to eat vegetables, so Birds Eye makes vegetables good to eat.

Cooking Instructions - General - For food safety & quality follow these instructions carefully:. Keep frozen - do not thaw. Cook thoroughly to a temperature of 165°F. Cook only one product at a time. Promptly refrigerate any leftovers. Reheat before serving. For microwave ovens less than 800 watts please use stove top instructions. Caution! contents are hot. Handle with care. Hob - From Frozen - Stove Top. 1. Empty frozen contents of bag into a 2-quart non-stick saucepan. Add ½ cup water. 2. Cover and cook over medium-high heat for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Drain and serve. Microwave - From Frozen - Microwave ovens vary - adjust cooking times as needed to reach 165°F as measured by a food thermometer taken in several spots. 1. Place frozen, unopened bag this side up in microwave. Do not pierce bag. For microwaves with a metal rack, remove rack. 2. Microwave on high for the recommended cook time based on your microwave wattage. During cooking, the bag will slowly inflate. A special vent in the bag will allow the steam to escape and a whistling sound may be heard. 3. Let stand for 1 minutes after cooking. Carefully handle bag at corners marked with the red ovals and remove from microwave with two hands. Hold bag over serving dish. Tear bag at notch. Pour, stir and enjoy! Microwave cook time; wattage: 1200, minutes: 4½. Microwave cook time; wattage: 1000, minutes: 5. Microwave cook time; wattage: 800, minutes: 6. Cook thoroughly. See cooking instructions

Frozen peas are always in my freezer. They add color and texture to soups and sauces and sweetness to casseroles. Frozen peas, have a different texture than canned peas. They are more like fresh. Sometimes I use the whole package and sometimes I use half. They stay good in the freezer for quite a while.

Then i saw a vid of a famous cook who said for pea salad use frozen peas...EXCELSIOR! It made all the difference in the world. i try to keep a bag on hand for any recipe calling for peas. canned peas just don't get the job done
