Where I live there are random power outages that are sometimes initiated by the utility company, which can results in a few hours without power - not long enough require a generator, but long enough to make it inconvenient if I want internet access. I've been very happy with my APC Backup unit that I purchased years ago, so when it came time to replace the battery, I didn't want to mess around with any third-party replacements. I wanted the real deal straight from the company. The battery is priced fairly, and delivery was prompt.

A quality replacement battery
One of my many UPSs reported a bad battery. The replacement battery costs quite a bit compared to purchasing a new UPS, but I didn't want to be wasteful, so I opted just to replace the battery. The battery installed easily, was a perfect fit and the UPS is now back in service. No problem!
