I was replacing a large, broken $$$ hair clip. Was concerned if I'd like a different brand or not. Took a chance and I'm impressed! This one has additional teeth added that grip the hair to help keep the clip from becoming loose or slipping so easily. Inside it has the 4 hidden spikes just like my old expensive clip had. AND this new clip has additional support in the plastic where the metal spring attaches. I circled those parts to compare in my photo. Just to note, my old one broke at the spring, the metal broke off the spring. The expensive clip was $13. And broke.
