I bought a radio shack adapter it had no driver others did not work with ham radio, this one did.as well as my gps and satilight programs.if you need an old to new cable I suggest this one for reliability and speed.

Great adapter for the price!!!
Bought this USB to Serial adapter for interfacing between a desktop computer and a new digital LED display board at our middle school. After loading the simple driver via CD-ROM included with adapter, it works super! Saved us half the price of buying the same adapter from the mfg. of the digital sign! I can't say enough about the practicality of this adapter.
