Sony BDPS1700 Blu-ray Player

I absolutely love this Sony Blu Ray Player, I already own one just like it that I've had for years %26 it's still going strong, beautiful picture quality %26 reliable! So glad Walmart finally got more in stock %26 couldn't pass up the chance to purchase another one for my bedroom! Very nice player for the price. Better than the similarly priced Panasonic DMP-BD90 for the following reasons: nicer physical appearance, quieter operation, coax digital audio output, more intuitive remote layout with larger buttons and TV power, input and volume controls, nicer looking interface that provides more information about currently playing disc or file, plays more file types from usb drive. The biggest drawbacks with the Panasonic is its relatively noisy operation, very tiny play control buttons on remote, and relatively ugly, cheap-looking interface. The Sony also uses a bit less power. Picture and sound quality on both is pretty good and hard to tell the difference between them back to back. For most people, the Sony is the better player.
