US manufactured polyester fibers are needled through a reflective metalized polyester film. The needled material is breathable and won’t break down with washing. The polyester fibers resist conduction while the reflective metalized polyester film reflects radiant energy, hot and cold, back to its source. Insul-Bright Heat Resistant Batting is 22 inches wide by 36 inches length. If ordering more than one yard, it will be continuous cut.

If using to make potholders, Insul Bright Insulated Batting is Heat Resistant NOT Heat Proof. If your pan is above 400 degrees Fahrenheit, use two potholders. Insul~Bright is not recommended for microwave use. Insul-Bright’s metalized film makes a crinkly sound that is very attractive to babies and animals lending itself to soft books and toys for your pet but it’s kind of noisy for clothing.
