I've had one of these for more than a year. We purchased two additional ones because we like them so much. The power draw can be turned down to ~ watts, but it can be turned up high enough to circulate the air in a large room. We use it without A/C during peak periods, with A/C when needed, and even to help clothes hang dry.

This is a second purchase of the same fan. Speed dial controls the air flow, we like a little air circulation in the summer when we sleep and the dial in a low setting makes it whisper quiet for a good night sleep.

I purchased this fan a months ago in preparation for summer, I have multiple fans in my main living area that is open to the second floor and is an open concept but with so many windows my AC can not keep it cool. Thus far it is mid April, I have shut off the other fans and my new Vornado circulate the air through the room so effectively that my AC has only kicked on once.
