We were looking for something for a teen rec room that is not too large, could fit a standard audio receiver game console, and that looked nice. Most tv stands today are not sized for audio receivers or had what looked like really bad fake fireplaces. I can say that this one was perfect. Each of the compartments will fit a receiver, you can choose compartment by compartment on whether to have the back on it (the one with the receiver we left off so cords could plug in easier), and it was simple to put together. The kids loved the looks and the ability to add some warm air to the room on chilly days. The youngest also loved that you can change both the rock colors and the flame colors independently. You can also change brightness and speed of the flame. We as the parents liked it because you get great value for the money. It is not solid wood, but for the price we were not expecting it. The reason I gave it 5 stars versus 4 is because of the excellent customer service. The fireplace in the initial delivery had 3 problems: the reflection system that creates the fire was disconnected, there was a noise from the center of the fireplace, and the remote had a broken button. While calling did not work well, I was able to email with the company. It took a few back exchanges, but after showing them a some pictures and describing the problem they sent me an entire fireplace replacement and told me to keep the old one (I assume shipping cost to return was too much). It was an easy and painless process and I would surely do business with them again.
