Vitamix Blender, Black

This is my second Vitamix blender purchase. I upgraded from my previous one. Gifting the previous one to my college son as he uses it every day. Loving the larger size canister (but still fits under the counter) for blending soups as I don't have to do it in batches now. The power on this one is perfect for everything. Caught this on a sale and I'm very happy with my purchase.

It is a good product and I have been well pleased. My older Vitamix, headaches, variable speed, control, fail, and though I had repaired it once successfully before, this time around, I could not do so by replacing the potentiometers. To ship it to the company and repair it would not have been cost-effective. So I gifted it to a coffee shop in Puebla where they can use the high speed to make smoothies, and I treated myself to this one. This one is the most top of the line that still will accept all of my old containers and so because I had invested in a stainless steel container and others. This was my option. I like the fact that it has an on and off switch separate from the Speed control and setting switch. It performs perfectly. As we all know some of the things that Vitamix claims it can do, it really doesn't do well. But I've been very pleased with the smoothie setting and use it daily. The Vitamix is excellent for getting the most out of the maceration of reconstituted chilies for the various Mexican sauces. It is superior and all respects to any of the other blenders on the market and I highly recommend it.
