Very soft but very small. We have a 8.2 pound Chihuahua and it make a perfect blanket for Elvis. He loves it being so soft. Since he has very short hair he loves to cuddle in it. We just got it today and it is cold out. He has used it all day sleeping. Would definitely buy a bigger size next time. Totally my fault not knowing the size was, I'm 62 and out of school and graduated many years ago. Lol It is nicely made and very, very soft it would be put to good used of the years. God bless
