I ended up liking this mattress much more than I expected. My wife bought it on sale for around $200 — so keep in mind, this is a $200 mattress, not a $2,000 luxury model. It arrived extremely heavy and expanded quickly once opened. I kept my old mattress for a couple of days because I was skeptical and wanted to compare them. This one feels like a hybrid between a wire box spring and a 4-inch foam topper. It's probably cheaper to manufacture than a full-foam mattress, but it measured accurately at 14” and surprised me with how soft yet supportive it felt. Both my wife and I have sensitive backs, and it worked well for both of us. After the first night, the old mattress went straight to the trash. My previous full-foam mattress was very firm but developed a permanent indentation where I slept, and there's no flipping those styles. This new one has a plusher feel that I've grown to prefer. My only real complaint is the edge support — the sides collapse pretty easily, so don't expect to sit on the edge to put your socks on. For reference, I weigh 230 lbs and my wife weighs about 120 lbs. If you're significantly heavier, the mattress might not hold up as well. Longevity is still a question, but even if it only lasts a few years, at $200 it's absolutely worth it. We're actually buying a second one for our vacation home so both beds feel the same.

What a great mattress for a guest room. It will be great for temporary sleeping for an adult, but if your looking for a full time adult mattress with good support you need to spend more as this mattress is not that. Box was med rectangle, about 4 ft long; manageable to carry into house and mattress (once unwrapped) rolled out %26 plumped up nicely. I gave it a day or so to settle.
