This is my first time using a safety razor. Very little blood was shed. 😂 Go slow. It gave a great shave on my legs, underarms, and face fuzz. Ladies - you have to try this. The razor doesn't come with much in the way of instructions. It comes with starter blades. There are a variety to choose from online when you need a refill. I suggest getting a container to dispose of used blades safely like an old pill bottle so no one cuts themselves handling the trash. I have a basic summary of the guidance I found online for using a safety razor: To install and remove a razor blade, hold the top of the handle with one hand and twist the bottom of the handle. The top will open and you position the blade. Turn the base back to the original position and it closes. Use a shaving cream or oil to help the blade glide as these are not like disposable or cartridge razors that may have a lubrication strip. Shaving in the direction of hair growth is recommended. DO NOT press down on the razor. Let the weight of the razor be the only pressure. Use short strokes and go slowly. If you need to make a second pass on an area, apply more shaving cream before you do so or you risk irritating the skin or a cut.
