Best oil on the market

The absolute best oil I have used. I switched all of my vehicles from Pennzoil Ultra Platinum to Valvoline Restore and Protect. My van had a completely orangeish dipstick due to varnish building up over its 160k mile lifespan. After less than 700 miles using Valvoline R%26P, the varnish is almost 100% gone on the dipstick, so i can only imagine the cleaning that is occurring internally. I am sold on the stuff and won't be using any other oil!

Mechanic Thumbs Up on Restore and Protect; Pricy

I have been fairly impressed with Valvoline Motor Oil, in general. Just changed oil yesterday using this Restore and Protect 5W30 oil after heard a lot of good reviews online saying it cleans your engine starting as soon as a couple of oil changes with the used oil draining out being very dark. The mechanic who changed my oil after seeing I brought over this oil praised my selection, if that meant anything. The downside is it's probably the most expensive 1Gal jug oil I've ever paid for. Will need to wait until the next couple of oil changes to see the results.

Seems to do the job.

I switched at last oil change to Valvoline restore and protect based upon the good reviews online talking about it helping to improve performance in high mileage engines. My 2.4 L has 176,000 miles. I've always done oil and filter changes every 5000 miles with synthetic oil (usually Mobil1 0W-20 with a Toyota OEM filter). Engine should not be gummed up or particularly dirty. I observe at nearly 5k miles (due for a change again) this synthetic seems to be a little cleaner at this point judging by a dipstick color and the oil level hasn't dropped quite as much as it did on the last two synthetic oil changes by the time I reached 5000 miles. Trying it a second time since multiple drain and fill are required for it to do its job.
