I've been using Valvoline High Mileage MaxLife 5W-30 Synthetic Blend for a few years now in my older vehicle with over 150,000 miles on it, and I can honestly say it's one of the best motor oils out there for high-mileage engines. Right away, I noticed smoother starts and quieter engine performance. It seems to help reduce oil consumption and has even minimized small leaks and seepage that used to be a constant issue before switching. My engine runs cooler and cleaner, and I love the added protection this oil provides for older seals and gaskets. The synthetic blend is the perfect balance—not as expensive as full synthetic but still offers superior performance over conventional oils. I change my oil regularly, and every time, this formula holds up well with less breakdown than cheaper alternatives.

Great oil
I've been using this oil for my vehicles (Lexus ls460, Chevy Suburban) for years. Always does a great job. No need to pay extra. Walmart has this oil priced right and for the most part in stock. It's a synthetic blend so you get the benefits of both worlds. For my vehicles it works great and I know Valvoline is a top quality brand. I would trust this product for 10k mile intervals, but I'm old school. I change my oil every 3-5k miles. Changing oil is cheap, replacing an engine isn't. Most of my cars I own all reach well over 200k miles doing it that way.

I use Valvoline in all my vehicles. It is the only oil I have used for the past 50 years. Started when I was 16 now 66. Never had any issues. I even run VR 1 10W30 in my 66 Chevelle. Nothing better than Valvoline
