    2000 f150 4.6 2wd

So my wife starts up her truck and no turn over. Drop her off to work, after running some "backyard diagnostics" turns out the old 5yr battery was starting to go and would not hold a charge for long. I know the symptoms of a bad battery since I used work around a lot of cars for a big company before. So, I shop around online make a few phone calls no luck or too expensive for our current budget, especially after doing some maintenance and upgrades to my wife's truck (oil change, spark plugs, k&n airfilter service, Napol high performance ignition coil packs x8) and a new DPFE sensor, now I can only assume that the high performance ignition must have finished off that old battery after 3wks of having them on. So I google search "cheap car batteries " I then type in the Walmart search engine 2000 f150 battery. And presto! The battery was up to specs but I wasn't sure on the sizing. (65s are a direct fit for our 00 f150) so I took a chance went to our local Walmart and it was the last one on the rack lol about $50 (approx $67 tax&$13 core) let me tell you you can't go wrong for the price and the 1yr warranty, 3x 8mm bolts one on each battery terminal and the plastic thing that holds the battery in place and there you go no overpriced auto what ever or trips to the stealership just pure plain and simple and CHEAP!!! went back got our core charge approx $13 bought dinner. Win win people don't be fooled by the price or the name especially if you drive a ford them seem to need batteries more soon then others based off the reviews on here. Good luck. God bless. (Next upgrade yellow top optima battery) highly recommend if ya gat the cash.

    Great battery and great price

Battery died in my Lincoln Mark VIII. The auto parts places wanted anywhere from $150 to over $200 for a battery. There are really only 3 or 4 battery manufacturers in the U.S. so they're ALL the same battery with some store's label on it and they may throw a 2 or 3 year warranty on it to give you peace of mind, but how often have you replaced a battery using the warranty? I have 5 vehicles and i've only ever done that once. This battery had the OEM cold cranking amps my Lincoln calls for and works like a charm. I figure I saved $100 to $150 on this purchase. Even if it does crap out after a year for some odd reason, I can buy 3 of these batteries for what one of the others cost. I'm very satisfied.

    Its lasted too long

Mother-in-law came to visit last year ago. While she was here, her car battery died. Went to Wal-Mart and bought the cheapest battery I could find hoping it wouldn't last too long and maybe leave her stranded somewhere else. Well, she's been back to visit several times now with the same battery.... My plan backfired. I've since used the same VP battery in both of our cars. They are a good battery.

I bought this battery to replace my old corroded battery on my 03 ram 1500 hemi. I run a lot of accessories and needed a good battery to be able to handle it. I run a 22 gallon compressor and another electric fan for the radiator to keep my truck nice and cool in the summer. I must say that I am very impressed. I noticed a difference once I started my truck up with this battery. The truck fired right up with no hesitation and handles my added accessories with no problem. The only thing I didn't like is that the Walmart website says that the battery is out of stock in the store and online but there were two of these battery's on the shelf when I went to see if they were indeed out of stock. Overall I am very pleased not only with the performance of this battery but the price of the battery as well!

Cheap, non functioning battery, save your money

Bought this in April 2016, it had a manufacturing sticker in 04//16 as well. I thought it might last atleast a year for my F150 which rides less than 500miles/yr. Charged it up, lasted 2 weeks before battery drained the first time. Recharged 2nd time, next week it left me stranded at the post office. It wont take a jumpstart (extremely weak/drained bat.) Charged up the 3rd time, sat idle in truck for 2 weeks and drained on its own, wont start. During the 4th charging, it went dead. Its now showing 3volts or so. I had an old boat deep cycle battery in the truck for the past 4 yrs without any cranking/drain issues until its last leg this March. This Cheap battery is half the price of a normal battery. I read the reviews on here and thought I could $ave but its now a complete Wa$te since I lost the receipt and cant return it. Be WARNED, save your money for a real battery. These are recycled batteries with new housing.
They are not recycled batteries with new housing. They are brand spanking new batteries right out of the battery plant.
