Valspar Porch, Floor & Patio Wood & Concrete Paint Satin Clear Base 4 Floor and Patio Coating 1 gal

About 6 months ago we used this product on a very old tile floor. It has held up very well and has minimal scratches, even with a labrador retriever! The key is to give it time to cure. We gave it a full week before we put furniture on it, and I think that definitely helped. I didn't believe my husband when he told me it would work, but I'm a believer and would definitely use it again!

Removed carpeting in our bedroom (yay!) Thought maybe we could use the hardwood floor "as is" but after seeing it, we knew it would have to be completely sanded down before refinishing. Since we've done that big project before on our entire main level in our former home, we decided to go the easier route: clean, prime, paint :-) I primed two coats then put down three coats of this paint. I used the satin finish. Both my husband and I LOVE the look. It really speaks well to the modern cottage design we have. Now....to see how it holds up to 3 dogs ;-) Usually they don't wrestle around in there though. I'm reallllllllly hoping that it'll hold up well because I truly did not want to have to seal with a water based poly. Even though they 'say' it's not supposed to yellow, I don't want to take a chance that it might. So we're sticking with no poly sealer. VERY happy to say the no odor is great! It goes on very smoothly (I used a 2" brush to cut in around the room then a roller specified for floor coverings to roll on the rest of the area). Dries nicely and very smooth to the touch. We followed the directions to a "T" when using this product. Always important to allow proper drying time and do NOT be in a rush to complete the project. We're going to wait a little more than the 24 hours recommended before we put the furniture back into the room. I now have the all white bedroom of my dreams :-) (Tried to upload a couple photos but it didn't work.)
