Valspar Brand 410-85035 SP 12 Oz Palmetto Green Gloss Premium Enamel Spray Paint - Pack of 6

I used to love Valspar spray paint, but the new sprayer top is dreadful- you have to grip the can incredibly hard to get enough leverage to push it properly, and it's hard to get a consistent spray. I emptied two cans of paint in a few hours - not an unusual amount for a single project - and my hand and forearm still hurt, two days later. Bring back the old top!

I bought the satin Encounter light blue to re-do a garage sale bedroom set for my daughter. I heard spray paint was a fast inexpensive way to go. I sanded all the finish off and used the paint+primer (I didn't prime separately because the label clearly said primer was included). This paint went on horrible! It is so uneven and splotchy with shiny spots and dull spots, it's just a mess. I followed the directions, and even watched several You Tube videos on how to apply spray paint. The only place it was acceptable was on small areas, like the legs. Any large area looks terrible. I waited 24 hours between coats thinking maybe I just didn't have it on heavy enough, although I wasn't able to see the old wood underneath. The second coat looks just as bad as the first. Now the entire set needs to be re-painted, this time with a completely different paint. I used 5 cans of spray over the past week and almost all my time and effort was wasted. I need to buy new paint and start over. It is also VERY slow to dry. I have had it in an air conditioned home with ceiling fans going and after 5 days most all of it is still sticky. Although the color was very nice I was VERY disappointed and will never use this product again.
