I was contemplating on really listening to some of the reviews that were negative but I decided to take the risk myself. And what I found out was this thing is awesome. I cut prime rib roast in every setting from deli to almost half inch steaks and wow it was great to have the steaks thin and then thick and then deli meat from steaks to make steak sandwiches! The only complaint I have is the meat I purchased was 6.5 pound and it was a little too big for the plate to hold secure. No problem I just have a smaller rib roast the next time I did it and it worked just fine PS I have a freezer that freezes solid it took a full day just to unthaw enough to put it on this thing but it did it it would be better to be not so solid frozen I never tried the raw meat without being frozen because I like the balance of meat staying together that's all I did was just meat I didn't do bread or cheese so good luck with yours we have a great time with ours!
