Old battery, carrier apps affect performance.

"Renewed" phone still has an old, worn out battery. Also, "unlocked" means it was a carrier phone and unlocked afterwards, meaning there's a bunch of useless apps that affect performance and can't be uninstalled (T Mobile apps and the infamous Carrier Hub). That's in addition to the standard Samsung bloatware. Samsung makes good hardware, but now I remember why I went to great lengths to find a non-Samsung phone last time around.
