Panasonic Genius Sensor 2.2 Cu. Ft. 1250W Countertop Microwave Oven with Inverter Technology

I bought this microwave to replace one that looks almost exactly like it and has the same specifications. The previous microwave lasted over 8 years with steady use. The controls are easy to use and the programming is excellent. After using the new one I notice that the previous microwave had only lost a little power over the years. This has a large capacity and now detects heat levels by detecting steam over the food. It heats the food evenly and quickly. I am fully impressed by the Panasonic microwaves. My only disappointment is that they have a hollow, cheap sound when the door is opened or closed. Putting something heavy on the top reduces that sound though. Its good quality and a good value.

We've only had this for 10 days or so and haven't put it through all it's paces yet but so far seems to be working very well. Love the large capacity, the turntable is 16.5 inches I think. It is loud, louder than our previous GE microwave. We installed it as a built-in and ordered a custom trim kit since Panasonic doesn't make a trim kit for this model. Hoping it lasts as long as the GE microwave that came with our house, that one was nothing super special but it did what it was supposed to do, was good capacity, and lasted 17 years. I will revise my review if it breaks down, I'd rather pay more for an appliance that has a longer life than replace it every two years, especially if it's a built-in. So far I really like the sensor cook, great price for the functionality if it lasts.
