Record in either A-B or X-Y stereo thanks to the movable microphones. A-B captures a wider area of sound like concerts while X-Y focuses on tighter areas of sound like a conversation or a single source of sound. This handheld 2-channel or 1-channel audio recorder is made with usability in mind. Key functions like recording, adjusting levels, and deleting bad takes are at the touch of a button. Other features make recording with the Tascam stress-free. An auto-recording function will have up to 2 seconds pre-recorded in case you don’t get to the record button in time. Stay in the moment and make real-time edits with the Overwrite and Nondestructive Overdubbing modes. Save CD-level audio to a microSDXC card to transfer files between devices. When recording at 44.1kHz/ 16bit CD quality, a 128 GB card can hold up to 192 hours. When recording in the MP3/ 320kbps mode, the card holds up to 896 hours. Record up to 17.5 hours of clear and crisp audio with the Tascam DR-07X Stereo Handheld Digital Audio Recorder.

Faulty Out of Box
As described and reviewed on line, the DR 07X is an ultra-long capacity handheld recorder. This is exactly what I was looking for; however, straight out of the box the Quick Menu button did not work. The only reason I discovered this was that I carefully followed the instruction manual setting up and testing all of the features. The unit was immediately returned. The good: the unit is extremely lightweight, has some nice features (if they work), screwed in quickly and securely to my camera stand, and is reasonably priced. The bad: the outer unit is constructed of what seems like cheap plastic accounting for the extreme light weight; quality control is obviously subpar. I strongly suggest that anyone who buys this unit needs to test all features to make sure that they work before your initial use. Thank you Walmart for the quick delivery and return process.
