Univega - 700C USA Voyage 1.0 Adult Bicycle, Small Frame, White

Bought this bike for my wife to get her back into cycling recreationally and I was surprised at the quality and build of this bike. She loves the design and the ease of getting on and off of it and is comfortable with the thumb shifters as well. Bought the bike on sale and with the money saved, had it professionally assembled and tuned at my local bike shop. It's a win win for everyone. Kudos Mendam Bikes!

It is a startlingly high quality, light, bike and an exceedingly excellent value. It required typical but extensive bicycle assembly and adjustment. Only 2 comments that should not in any way be considered significant: It does not have a dedicated mounting point for a kickstand (not included), so required a generic kickstand with clamps. The wheel bearings were adjusted way too tight and were binding. I noticed and adjusted, but I think that the subtleties of this adjustment might be a bit much for the "average joe" who might hope that putting the wheels on and adjusting the seat would be all that was required. That said, brakes and gears required adjustment too. Nothing unusual here, except that I have assembled similar bikes that were closer to road ready adjustment out of the box. It is a really, really, nice bike similar to the bikes selling retail for 2.5X the price in stores (fully assembled).
