i use Prismacolor pencils myself, in my own coloring. They're very easy to use, and the colors are beautiful. My grandkids also love them, because they're what i use. I can't afford to have the kids use them tho, so we tried out this scholar set. Because the cores are so much stronger, they hold up better under kid-use. When you find these on sale, go for it. Im very happy with them, and so are the grandkids.
