This item can be used for many different things. It was very useful for us when we were on vacation and my daughter had an eardrum rupture. They recommended using some mild heat and this was the perfect item for that. I don't think she could've made it through vacation without it

very glad i invested in this heating pad; it's super easy to heat up and stays nice and warm for an hour, and if you like the smell of lavender this is an excellent item to have. the heating pad on the inside can sometimes make the outer shell (haha) feel a little damp when its first heated but it's not excessive
