This portable design has safety in mind with a built in visual aid that helps to determine if the ramp is on a safe slope prior to use. I brought this for my wife to use not only for her scooter, but for her to get in the house, it set up within mins in I installed the two pins that came with it to the concrete. I like the fact if I want to I just need to pull the pins out and move the release pin on ramp and then I can fold it up and take it with me. I really like this ramp.
