These bags all come in the box laid one on top of the other. Which means that you don't have to tear them apart and they aren't in a big roll. And when you pull one from the box and start to open it, the bag nearly pops open on it's own! Well, I just mean that it doesn't stick to itself and cause a hassle when you're trying to pop it open. The only thing that can really cause a problem, is taking the perforated piece off of the box that creates the hole to grab the bags from. Some people might not have a problem at all taking it off. But others might not be so fortunate. And if you are someone who has Consumer Packaging Stress Disorder, then you can probably prevent having an issue opening the box by just taking your time with it. I mean, you only have to do it once per box. Now, these bags have a thickness of 1.8 Mil, and the only time that I have ever had a bag get punctured, is when it had things in it that would probably puncture any bag no matter how thick it was. If this isn't thick enough for you though, I have also seen Ultrasac Extra Heavy Duty Contractor Bags out here, that are 42 gallon with a thickness of 3 Mil, that come with 50 in a box just like these, and that only cost six more dollars than these (at the time of this review). As far as tying them up goes, these bags don't have a drawstring and don't have any flaps made into them to tie them up with. Instead, they just come with a bunch of really long old school bread ties. I don't use them though. I prefer to make my own makeshift flaps and tie them into a knot or two. But that's just me.
