This is not meant to be a spicey condiment. It is sweet and fruity, as it should be. I use it with Tai Pei Pork Potstickers (available from Walmart). It's pricey, though; the Panda orange sauce is cheaper but just doesn't taste as good. Add a little reduced-sodium soy sauce (also from Walmart), and it tastes even better.
