Arlo Pro 2 Smart Security System with 4 Cameras (VMS4430P)

I bought this in early 2020 thinking it would be great due to them being wireless. It was a bad decision. The cameras need to be sync'd once a month back to the hub. So if you have them mounted high, this means breaking out the ladder just to hit the button. Lately the hub I have needs to be reset once a week. Last night I had no videos, which usually I have 10-15 easily. I had to reset the hub again for it to record. Luckily nothing happened last night. If so, I'd be out of luck catching anyone. It's not worth the money until they fix the reliability.

I frequently try to understand the About This Item information about products found on this site. The information almost always looks as if it was written by a student in the 5th grade. The information about this item runs together as one very long sentence making it difficult to understand. I could not find one sentence ending period (.) anywhere in the text of the about information. The information is not presented in a way to make it easy to read as if it is not intended to be read. I was able to put the information in my word processor and clean it up some but I am in a shopping and comparison mode right now and don't intend to do this for every item I'm interested in. This is an expensive item no matter how one cuts it. To make these cameras practical, one needs some type of external power. I have been using my camera less than three weeks and the battery has gone from 100% to 31%. Depending on where the camera is located, one might have to climb a ladder, remove the camera, recharge it and climb the ladder to put the camera back in place. At this time, I'm not sure if a charge will last even one month. There are many good features but these cameras are quite expensive when set up the available accessories that must be purchased. It is true that a camera is small but the OPTIONAL solar charger raises the setup cost considerably. In my opinion, all of the accessories are quite expensive. I saw one review that commented on the fact that 2 cameras had been purchased but only one cable
