Yippee! That's what I thought when I pulled this adapter out of the package and inserted it into my laptops display port. It fit! Since I travel a LOT, both business and pleasure, I always need to have a simple, cheap and effective way to use the motel or meeting-room HD LED Display / TV. Usually I am frustrated by the locations network, interface or other iconic hook-up method. And the manager-on-duty never knows how to use their equipment either. About ½ the time I wind up propping my laptop up and everyone huddling around to hear the audio from the Thinkpads tiny speakers. Not anymore! Now I simply carry this adapter and a 20' HDMI cable. About 100% of all TV's and 'display systems' use HDM inputs so I can now watch movies I have on my laptop, play DVD's and even lay back in the motels bed to use the computer. When I am giving a business presentation (like I did yesterday) it was a 1-minute set-up, and worked GREAT. Oh, the quality is fantastic. It seems to be at the max resolution of the display unit (TV). Audio also goes though great. So full volume is a function of the TV/Display system not my puny laptop speakers. (some adapters I bought in the past had issues with the audio) To say I love this tiny, super easy to use adapter is an understatement. If I ever lose it I will buy another immediately, as I plan on never living without one again. Yes, it made my life that much easier. Summary: Small, easy to carry. Needs no external power. Easy to use. Plug interface is universal, fit's all recent (15 years?) TV's and Display systems. High-quality construction and performance. Cost-affordable. Life is good.
