I use this for adding to my pots of soup. It's as good as other brands available here.

Lid won't come off!

Lid won't come off. Other reviewers reported the problem a year ago, and the company is still selling poorly designed product. Won't buy again.

We're sorry to hear that you were unable to twist and remove the cap on your bottle of McCormick® Poppy Seed. This will sometimes happen to a spice/herb bottle when too much heat is applied at the time the cap is applied. We are aware of this issue and adjustments have been made to fix this. The glue from the safety seal under the lid melts onto the threads of the bottle and 'glues' the lid fast. To remove, carefully wrap a hot, wet paper towel around the spice bottle cap for 5-10 minutes. The heat from the paper towel should loosen the adhesive and allow you to twist off the cap. Would it be possible for you to go to www.mccormick.com/contact and provide some additional product-related information? We appreciate your patience and assistance. ~JM

Lid !!!!

We couldn't remove the lid. It wouldn't twist off. And it wouldn't pop off. To get to the safety covering. So the new look McCormick looks great. Manufacturing forgot to put twist off lid.
