Timberline Cow Manure and Compost is cow manure plus humus. This product has highly organic matter that provides plants with natural nutrients. Cow Manure and Compost marginally changes performing soil to a rich, fertile soil. It helps break up clay type soil and holds sandy soils together. This compost is also an excellent soil conditioner and contains Nitrogen to help plants thrive. Ideal for use in new landscapes, when patching or planting new lawns and as a top-dressing to vegetable gardens. For best results use a rototill or shovel after applying the product to mix the top 4” to 6” of native soil before planting seeds.

Basically it improves soil structure, easier for roots to grow. It's good for plants that need a nutrient boost. If we want to add direct nutrients. Cow manure might be the better choice. Overall if we want to improve the soil health, water retention timberline cow manure and compost soil is a better option.
