Food stays HOT

I purchased this for School this year and am amazed at how well it works. I always fill the thermos with boiling water and place the cover for 5 minutes while I heat the food in the microwave. My only problem is that if I heat the items in the microwave too hot, the food is usually too hot by lunch time so 4 hrs after I place it in the thermos. All in all, I love the product and if you're looking for something that keeps food HOT, this will do it. I'm now trying to preheat the food to be lukewarm instead of hot so it will be warm instead of hot by lunch time. Another suggestion would be to place hot water instead of boiling water while heating the food perhaps.
