I probably could have bought a plain but useful tea kettle, but I opted for this one because I thought my nine-year-old granddaughter, who's a real girly girl, would like it because of the bright flowers. Well, she loves it and so do I, because it's lightweight, it does what it's intended to do (heat water), it's easy to handle, the whistle works well, and it's attractive.
