Pretty, but lead-safe?

Love the little teapot! Works great, cleans fairly easily, and the whistle is loud enough to get your attention, but not obnoxious. My only concern with it is in relation to a greater issue that plagues a lot of Pioneer Woman kitchenware, which is the presence of lead. I tried looking it up on Lead Safe Mama, but where it's an enamel coated teapot, you'd need to damage the enamel to test it, so she hadn't. My worry is that, through the everyday use of the product, that it's going to have had lead in it and I'll unknowingly be drinking it. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of transparency with Pioneer Woman and the presence of lead in their products, so I'll be happy with my pretty pot until I can find another one; then it'll become a planter pot.

Love Pioneer Woman Products I have just moved into a new apartment and I love my teakettle, However alot of Pioneer Woman Products are not stocked in the stores anymore and When you order online Pioneer Woman Products are out of stock This Concerns me because I have furnished my apartment with Pioneer Woman accents I hope PW items don't become Obsolete

Solid and pretty

This kettle is very substantial. It not only is beautiful (which is exactly what you'd expect from anything from The Pioneer Woman) it's very well made. The hardware is sturdy and feels built to last. It holds a good amount, so if you're having several cups of tea, cocoa or need a large amount of boiling water it will get the job done. It retains the temperature of the water for at least a second cup (15-20 minute range). I can definitely recommend this tea kettle whether you are looking for a decorative item that will enhance the decor of your kitchen or for a practical item to have your tea. (Note: I have a flat top electric stovetop so I cannot say how it handles the flames from a gas cooktop)
