We received this as part of the Spark Reviewer program and I was most interested in it for several reasons. Although I have a variety of bowls, I'm always cautious when baking with the grandchildren. With this set, which is made of melamine, I was much more relaxed when we did our annual holiday baking. Making memories with your family shouldn't include worry about whether someone will get hurt if something breaks and this set takes care of that nicely. The set is made very well and it is absolutely beautiful. The fact that it is BPA free is a comfort. The large handles make it easy to pour, even for children. The larger batter bowl doesn't slip around on the counter because of the rubber on the bottom. The measuring cups are the standard 1 cup, ½ cup, 1/3 cup and ¼ cup, which are the ones mostly used. However, these are not dry measuring cups, they are the wet measuring cups. Only a picky baker would notice that feature. Measuring spoons are also the most common ones used which are 1 tablespoon, 1 teaspoon, ½ teaspoon and ¼ teaspoon. On rare occasions I have recipes that use 1/8 teaspoon, but for 95% of my baking, this serves the purpose and does so beautifully. It is also dishwasher safe. The Pioneer Woman brand has an excellent reputation for safe and durable products that add a touch of beauty. We had a wonderful time testing this product and will be using frequently. My granddaughters want to know when we can bake again. Looks like our weekends will be full. I highly recommend this product. It is something you'll use often, reasonably priced and it makes an amazing gift. In fact, I just purchased a set for my daughter and daughter-in-law for Christmas.

This is so cute!!!! It would be a great gift for a wedding shower, Christmas, for someone just getting their kitchen stocked with supplies and equipment or anyone who would appreciate a set of new utensils and 2 pretty - and very functional - bowls. I had hoped when it said "Holiday floral" that both bowls would have the print but though it's only the smaller bowl and measuring cups, the large, red one with a handle and spout is still very pretty and bright and has an attractive quilted-type pattern on the outside. The measuring spoons are in fun solid colors. This set will really brighten up your kitchen. The material - melamine - is harder than plastic but not as hard as ceramic or glass. It feels like it would be pretty durable. Leave it to PW to bring more bright colors, patterns and prints - as well as functionality - into our kitchens. Highly reommend this set.
