It will prevent weeds for up to 90 days while conserving moisture and feeding the soil. Unlike black plastic weed barrier, The Old Farmer's Almanac Weed Barrier Paper is biodegradable and made from natural ingredients so there's no need to pull it up at the end of the season. Each 1.55 lb roll will cover 150 square feet.

Worked well
I used this around our trees last year -- covered with mulch to keep the weeds away -- and it worked very well. This year I'm going to try it on some vegetable beds. I think it will work well there because I don't have to worry about pulling it up next year, it just degrades.
