[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] awesome coat..I've worn north face for years..I believe in the quality of the jackets..last forever so worth the price!!, i was excited to try out the futurelight on a retro build....I wore my steeptech today on a bike ride and switched to this coat as it snowed and one shake and coat dries with minutes...I suggest using a sweater underneath if its under 40 degrees, the jacket itself won't keep you warm but not an issue! Breaks the wind as well so keeps the cold out..I hope they make a future light steeptech!..

Yes I would purchase this jacket again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely a must have nostalgic piece and very work as protect you from rain/wind. I pair my with a matching nuptse , 1995 retro fleece or nuptse vest and you are good to go. Can wear the shell in spring if you layer you can wear everything in the fall and winter. Must buy. Currently I have almost every color. I hoping they rerelease the 1990 mountain jacket.

Super nice homage to a classic jacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am lucky enough to own the original jacket, and I still wear it from time to time. Certainly that's a testament to how good the quality can be for high end TNF gear! Doing a side by side comparison between the two jackets was fun. I love that the new jacket is very similar in fit, feel, and style. At the same time, the new jacket feels superior with the newer technology. Surprisingly, they feel about the same in weight. I haven't had a chance to test the new jacket in a hard rain storm yet, but I feel confident it'll keep me dry for my long walks outdoors. My only complaint is that the original jacket has a Napoleon pocket while the new one doesn't. This is my favorite pocket for storing keys and and other small things.
