Bad version of Lawrence- don't buy it

Awful interpretation of D.H. Lawrence. No in depth study of who these characters are or what motivates them, how are they changing etc. Just this happens and then that happens. The expected nude and romance scenes are moreso hinted at and not very interesting and just seems to have been tossed in because it's a Lawrence story. The female lead not Dandy Dennis was featured in 'Playboy' some time in 1967 around when this movie was released and is much more revealing and appealing there than any nudity in this film. This is not D.H. Lawrence at his most interesting but rather a sketch of a story and not worth adding to a dvd library
