In support of this album, the band members Mick Madness ( vocals / guitars ), Matt ' Slapp' Webber ( bass ), and Dan Ianitelli ( drums ) come prepared to deliver melodic sensibilties combined with raw power. The opening track ' Testify ' shows vulnerability, while ' Cross That I Bear ' tries to understand the complexities of human emotion. Vocal distinctiveness is the hook behind every track. Every song here is a true story transformed into art with the exeption of ' Jai, ' an ex-girlfriend's idea of a true superhero. Other standouts include ' Easter Island ' and ' Maybe, ' one with blistering guitar leads and the other with acoutic agression and heartbreaking lyrics. Mick Madness grew up on the streets of Detroit and started his musical journey at the age of 5 in orchestra class and choir. He joined his first band at 14 called Stone Forrest, then Medussa, Broken Stone, Fall From Grace, Kristen Sayer, Madhouse, Djilia Phralengo, Buddha Fulla Rymez and currently employed as guitarist for the biggest tribute band in the midwest, the Mega 80's.
