Doubles the focal length of Canon EF lenses by a factor of 2.0x (Not Applicable on all EFs lenses, particularly those with long rear elements) Communication between lens & camera executes the auto focus, manages iris control & image stabilization. A maximum aperture of f/4 or greater is required in order to fully utilize the autofocus capabilities. Auto focus will function properly if there is enough light and contrast on the subject as proper lighting activates the camera's AF sensors. Description Designed to attach between a Canon or compatible EF/EF-S lens & A Canon camera, this Digital Nc Autofocus Teleconverter doubles the magnification of the connected lens, dramatically boosting its apparent focal length with a minimal increase to the size or weight of the camera and lens combination. Electronic communication between an attached camera and lens is supported, and inside this teleconverter, four multicoated optical elements in three groups help to ensure clarity while reducing ghosting and flare.
