Lock works well

Instructions that came with it were a little confusing, had to re-read them a few times. This unit works with the metal handle like it says it does. Put it in my 03 Ranger 4x4. You may have to adjust the bars that pull the gate open so that it doesn't pull since therea 1/8 of play in the locking mechanism. Other then that it works very well. Feel much more secure with my tools in the back and my tonneau cover on.

Pop & Lock

Installed the tailgate lock on my 94 F250. The installation was fairly straight forward with no alterations needed. The lockset is substantial, not exactly heavy duty but gets the job done. Does not restrict both left and right sides of the hinge rods. The lock pivots to disable the right side/rod only but secures the tailgate just fine.

I had to make a couple minor adjustments to the tabs (ground one tab shorter and bent another piece to clear) to make the lock work but I am satisfied with the lock.
