bought air conditioner August 1. Installed 08/28. When it was being installed, I noticed that that box was halfway torn open. When the unit was taken out of the box it had a huge dent on it. I decided to place the unit in the window, because my apt. was very hot. At this moment no problems. If the delivery people or warehouse people know that the unit has been dropped, it should be placed in a different section in case it is defected, so buyers won't have a defective unit. There should have been no reason that i was given a unit with a dent in it
