With the premium tall fescue varieties that The Rebels is known for, Pennington Rebels Shady Lawn Mix offers the ideal solution for these challenging areas. This grass is tough. It has thick, deep, and dense roots that result in excellent drought and traffic tolerance. Plus, it only needs 2-hours to 6-hours of sunlight. Compared to traditional tall fescue grasses, Rebel offers lower growth, finer texture, darker color and denser turf - plus the drought tolerance that makes turf-type tall fescue a homeowner favorite. Also, with up to 40% more roots than ordinary grass, The Rebels Brand Extended Root seed varieties represent the best turf-type tall fescue on the market. Plant it in early spring or early fall and see results in 8-days to 16-days. This 20 lbs. bag covers up to 5,000 sq. ft. for over-seeding an existing lawn and 1,660 sq. ft. for starting a new lawn from scratch. with the 2pk you can cover up to 10,000 sq ft.
