I loved the idea of this and had been looking for something similar for a while. I tried the harnesses for small dogs before finding this but couldn't get it around him since the neck to body proportions are quite different in dogs and guinea pigs. It only took me a couple minutes of my piggy squirming to get it on, which was better than I expected. He refused to walk while on it because he's spoiled rotten. If you haven't had your pig long it may respond better. He figured out that by shimmying and walking backward he could easily escape in less than 5 seconds. Because he refuses to move unless he's escaping I don't use the product anymore, but a less spoiled rotten guinea pig may do well with it.

Knowledge of the pet, the product and the medical issues that could happen because of the product that you buy is very important. No guinea pig should ever be in any kind of harness. Ever. This could easily harm their backs and cause damage to the guinea pig.
