Tomcat Rat Snap Trap

This is likely one of the better mousetraps on the market today. It definitely is the best one I have tried so far. Throw the old style traps with the wooden base in the garbage. The sticky traps work pretty well but you have to kill the mouse/rat when they are caught. This one traps the rodent and the powerful jaws usually kills the rat by the time you check the trap. The trap has a tiny bowl-like area to pack your bait in and you need to pack it in there so the rat will have to work to get it out and in turn trip the trap. One word of caution though, when packing the bait in the trap, use one hand to hold the jaws open and the other to pack in the bait. If you do not do this the trap will catch you instead and it's not a pleasant feeling. I speak from experience. These are a little spendy but they do work.
